Find below a set of questions that Anupama Ranawana who was with the study circle during its first few days and who is now in London for her graduate studies wishes to discuss with members of the study circle through this blog, and others:
“I’ve been travelling around and talking to some folks who do peace. and im thinking of writing something. do you think we can get the group to discuss this:
1) The Peace Industry and Peacebuilding: Peace, is now a dead word in Sri Lanka. And the peace industry grows ever more uncomfortable. Are we approaching peace building in the wrong way? Should it be approached as conflict transformation? How can we be innovative in peace building? What happens to process when peace isn;t trendy anymore?
2) And further, should we, in fact delete conflict?
The second question is waffling and vague indeed. But what responses can we/I get for question one?”
